Today Is Mission Sunday

Today, Sunday, August 29 – 3 p.m. – Mt. Hope Baptist Church of Black Springs will host their 12th Women’s Annual Day. If you plan to attend their colors are purple and white. 

Friday, September 3 – 5:30 a.m.  – Early Morning Prayer.

Friday, September 10 – 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Please join us for the upcoming training, Evangelism, The Time Is Now!!   Did you know that according to statistics only 2% of Christians actively share their faith? This means (for some reason) 98% don’t. That may be because they feel they haven’t been equipped to do so. Please join Minister Gogo as he provides an energy charged training on Evangelism and Outreach! You will come away knowing how to share your faith with your co-workers, mother, father, siblings, spouse, children...and even perfect strangers!
After we have completed the training, on Saturday, September 11 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. we will take what we have learned about Evangelism and Outreach and share it with those in our community!  We are believing and trusting God for a harvest in this area and we need you to be a part of this! Sunday, September 12 – 3 p.m. – Annual Usher’s Day at Pilgrim Rest.

Saturday, September 18 - 12 noon - 6 p.m. - Mark your calendar and plan to attend our annual NJBC Church Picnic at Hidden Valley Park.  More information will follow from our Culinary Arts Ministry. Get ready for fun, good food and fellowship!

Saturday, September 25 - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. - CALLING ALL CITIZENS! Your training for "Discovering You!" "Spiritual Gifts, Personal Style and Ministry Passion" is coming on Saturday, September 25! This class is designed to awaken, stir-up and assist you in discovering your spiritual gifts, personal style and God-Given passion for serving in the Body of Christ. Spiritual Gifts and personality assessments are included. Pre-Registration is required and this class is mandatory for all citizens to attend. If you are a leader that was unable to attend the class on August 7, you will need to attend this class. Fees for the class and materials are $20.00. Please see Sis. Coleman or Sis. Linton to obtain and complete your pre-registration forms and pay your fees.

Sunday, September 26 – 3 p.m. – Bethel Baptist Church, Hawthorne, NV will celebrate their 67th Church Anniversary.

Reminder To All Leaders….Last week you received a letter from Pastor and Lady McAlister regarding the upcoming leadership classes entitled, “Rediscovering The Kingdom”. Please remember that pre-registration is required.   Please provide Sis. Coleman or Sis. Linton  with your registration information and payment. Thank you.  Pastor McAlister is asking that any meetings originally scheduled on September 7, 14, 21, and 28 be cancelled to ensure that leaders are able to attend the required classes on those dates.

We are collecting the following items: canned goods, clothing, coats, shoes, toiletries and items such as these. We are enhancing our church pantry to include these items so that we may be a blessing to those in our community and to those in need. We will have containers in the social hall of the church for you to place these items. We do ask if you donate clothing, that you please help us greatly by laundering them prior to donating.
